This is the original story of a train that breaks down before reaching the children on the other side of the mountain with its cargo of toys and gifts. After asking several passing trains for help over the hill, the sad train is unable to find help until a little blue engine agrees to assist the stranded toys. Even though she is small, the blue train tries her best to bring the toys to the children on the other side of the hill.
